UQ wants to bulldoze parts of the Union Complex; everyone has something to lose. Cutbacks on UQ welfare programs will result in losing local businesses and people's jobs in the union complex. What's worse, all of this will happen without an open consultation with our UQ community!

It's also clear that from the 2019 Save the UQ Union Complex campaign, there was clear support from the broader UQ community to see various aspects of the Union Complex preserved. We believe that the redevelopment plan will deface the essence of the community space and student expression with generic corporate aesthetics.
2. Come to our Campaign Launch on the 27th of May at the Reddo!
Taking place in the Redroom Bar in the UQ Union Complex at our St Lucia campus, we're hosting a launch event to open discussions on the Union Complex Redevelopment Plan and arrangement to share what we know, answer any questions and any other additional feedback.
